During the Beginner class last night, all of us encountered an issue when none of our devices were able to connect to our computer via Bluetooth.
Every individual had their own unique device and different laptops, yet the shared element among us was that we were all utilizing a Windows 11 computer. We navigated to the Bluetooth settings, searched for the device, clicked on it, entered the 0000 password, and established a connection. However, the connection was short-lived, as it quickly displayed "not connected," leaving us all feeling extremely frustrated.
I chose to search for a quick solution, and Cricut indeed offers a troubleshooting page for it (Cricut Bluetooth fix). Despite following the instructions and attempting again, the issue persisted with the device showing as "not connected." Therefore, I informed the class that I would contact customer support early the next morning to receive more detailed assistance on this issue.
After speaking with them, they informed me that doing the above steps, now it should connect in Design Space without any issues, but to make sure that you take ONE more step. Please see the screenshots below:
Once in Design Space, make sure that your account is showing the right machine:
Click on machine name, then select your machine (as shown the the photos below).

2. Next, as a test, create a shape, then click on "MAKE", the mat will appear & click continue on the bottom. You'll then see the system try to connect to a machine.

3. if you have an Explore or Air machine & dial is on "custom"- (see below)- Maker automatically is in custom options

4. Once DS connects to your machine, you should be able to see this-

If you have gotten this far, Congrats! Your machine is now connected & you can move forward with the cutting process.
I hope this helps you get connected on Windows 11. If after following these instructions & you are still having issues, I would recommend using the cable that came in your box.
